Welcome / Bienvenida

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Irving Blue Waves, a developmental pre-competitive swim team offered through a partnership between Irving ISD and the City of Irving Aquatics.   Blue Waves is open to Irving ISD students ages 6 to 14 years old who want to learn more about competitive swimming in a fun environment.   However, please keep in mind that for safety reasons, participants must be able to swim 10-15 ft. in water over their head (deep water) & tread water for 30 seconds.  Those who are unable to meet those requirements will be invited to sign up for swimming lessons instead.

Bienvenidos y gracias por su interés en Irving Blue Waves, un equipo de natación precompetitivo de desarrollo ofrecido a través de una colaboración entre el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Irving (Irving ISD) y el Departamento de Natación de la Ciudad de Irving. Blue Waves está abierto a estudiantes del Irving ISD de 6 a 14 años que deseen aprender más sobre la natación competitiva en un ambiente divertido. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que, por razones de seguridad, los participantes deben poder nadar de 3 a 4,5 metros en aguas profundas y mantenerse a flote durante 30 segundos. Aquellos que no cumplan con estos requisitos podrán inscribirse en clases de natación.

PARTICIPATION WAIVER AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT / INFORME Y ACUERDO SOBRE LA RENUNCIA DE RESPONSABILIDAD

I acknowledge swimming is an activity with inherent risks. In consideration of being permitted to participate in this activity I, the undersigned, release and forever discharge any and all rights, demands, claims for damages and causes of suit or action known or unknown, that I may have against Irving Independent School District and any and all participating event sponsors and the directors, officers, employees and agents of such parties from any and all damages to myself or my child, including but not limited to, any resulting medical conditions, injury or death.

IN SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE TERMS IN IT, AND THEIR LEGAL SIGNFICANCE. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT I SIGN THIS AGREEMENT KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY.

Yo estoy informado que la natación es una actividad que implica algunos riesgos. _____________________________ (nombre del estudiante) sí tiene permiso de participar en el programa Nadando Seguro proporcionado por el distrito Escolar Independiente de Irving ISD. Al permitirle participar en esta actividad, yo, la persona que firma, renuncio definitivamente a mi derecho de hacer cargos , demandas, reclamos por daños o perjuicios o demandas o acciones conocidas o desconocidas contra el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Irving (Irving Independent School District) o contra cualquier patrocinador de eventos, director, oficial, empleado o agente de dicho distrito de cualquier daño causado a mi hijo, incluyendo pero no limitado, a alguna condición médica, herida, lesión o muerte.
